Wasteland Races - Devlog 3


This update brings the first implementation of active abilities, balance changes and minor implementation changes to the inner work of drifting, turning and boosting.

The game tries to simulates a kind of inertia when turning and drifting, so a vehicle won't immediately stop if the when stopping a turning action, but will continue for a time that depends on how long the turn or drift took.

Drifting has now counter drift. When drifting in a direction the vehicle won't try to drift in the other direction if the turn input changes, but will try to slide along the direction, this also reduce the "drift" hold time but allow to keep drifting.

The amount of turning force depends on how long the turn input is pressed for as well.

At this point the track will need some adjustment to fit better with the new handling.
